Droplet
size in a given spray may vary from sub-microns to thousands
of microns.
As the representative of droplet size, we use Sauter
Mean Diameter in catalog charts, which is a droplet
size of spray generated at standard pressure for each
nozzle and measured at the point that is most practical
distance from nozzle orifice.
Classification of Spray Droplet Size
There are many opinions on the classification of spray
droplet sizes but we, "The Mist Engineers",
have classified them as shown in the figure.
